    The call for papers and posters for EAA 2016 is open until 15th February 2016.  The 22nd annual meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists will be held in Vilnius from 31st August to 4th September.

    Urban Archaeology and Archaeological Data: Preservation, Re-use and Repurposing

    The 21th International Conference on Cultural Heritage and New Technologies will take place at the City Hall of Vienna, Austria from November 16 to 18, 2016.

    CHNT participants come from a diverse range of disciplines, including archaeology, anthropology, art and architectural history, computer science, geography, geomatics, historic preservation, museum studies, and urban history.

    CNR-ITABC ran a Landscape School (8-11 September) where students used the ARIADNE landscape services to produce and work with a few datasets. Places were limited to 21 students who were selected from 33 applicants.

    Roberta Zeni is studying for a Masters in Digital Humanites at Kings College, London. She is spending a week at PIN in Prato on the Trans-national access programme, looking at mapping EpiDoc to CIDOC CRM. Roberta took a 10 minute break to talk to Sheena Bassett about her work and experience of the ARIADNE TNA.

    The call for papers for CAA 2016 is now open!  The conference will explore a multitude of topics, amongst which is the session proposed by ARIADNE “Supporting researchers in the use and reuse of archaeological data”.  We would like to invite paper proposals for this session.

    The 44th Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology Conference (CAA 2016 Oslo) will be held from 29 March to 2 April, 2016) and has been given the theme “Exploring Oceans of Data”, in reference to Norway’s maritime heritage. Topics in the conference include data acquisition and recording, conceptual modelling, semantic technologies, data analysis, data management, digital 3D object reconstruction, image visualisation in archaeology, geophysics and GIS.

  • Workshop on data sharing in Italy
