The 20th CHNT (Cultural Heritage and New Technologies) Conference will be held in Vienna from 2nd-4th November. This year’s topic is “Urban Archaeology and Public Relations”.

After five years focussing on the nuts and bolts of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage it is now time to go public with the results: To present our Cultural Heritage not just to fellow scientists but also to the public in museums, on the internet, in books, videos and also for tourism.

How can New Technologies and New Media contribute to improving the communication process between experts and society in general?

The aim of public relations should be to reach people’s interest and make them sensitive for the relevance of archaeology and protection and preservation of the Cultural Heritage.
