ISTI-CNR is offering a summer school on the design of archaeological datasets, in Pisa from 14-18 July 2014. ARIADNE TNA bursaries available. Application deadline extended to 16th June 2014.

The course aims at providing students with an introduction to metadata design for archaeological datasets, with perspective content provided as case studies by the students. The school will consist of some introductive lectures followed by hands-on seminars in which the design is developed by the students with the supervision of ISTI experts and then collectively discussed.

Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge of mark-up languages.

Bursaries: are available for this summer school to enable trans-national access for researchers who work or are registered as students in an institution outside Italy.  Your institution must be located in one of the EU Member States and Associated States.
