The conference: Fostering Transatlantic Dialogue on Digital Heritage and EU Research Infrastructures: Initiatives and Solutions in the USA and in Italy, is being held from 1-3 December 2014 at Library of Congress in Washington.
Prof. Franco Niccolucci will be presenting the ARIADNE Infrastructure as one of the areas of research that is covered by the Italian U.S Science and technology cooperation agreement.
The conference starts with a public session in the morning providing an overview of current initiatives in Digital Humanities and Heritage Science in Italy and the United States. Following an introduction, the European Landscape of Research Infrastructures for the Humanities by Philippe Froissard, Deputy Head of Unit B4 – Research Infrastructures, DG R&I, DARIAH is presented by Costis Dallas and ARIADNE by Franco Niccolucci before the programme turns to US initiatives.
The 2013 Joint declaration and the set up of the working group on cultural heritage and technology for restauration will be a main discussion point and the conference includes an overview and road map 2014-2015.
From Monday Dec 1st, 1.30 pm to Wednesday, Dec 3rd, 12.30 pm the session will be open for Delegates only followed by the conclusion conference which is open to the Public.
