Salzburg Research (SRFG) is the non-profit research organisation of the State of Salzburg. Since 1996 the company conducts applied technological and socio-economic research in ICTs. SRFG has five research departments that specialize in innovation analysis and consulting, semantic Web applications, location-based services, computational logistics, and QoS-based internet technology. The company has 75 employees and is certified according to the ISO 9001:2000 quality management standard.

SRFG has long-standing R&D experience in European projects (FP5-7 and other programmes). In the area of cultural heritage and archaeology this includes the technology monitoring project DigiCULT Forum, the research agenda of Excellence in Processing Open Heritage (EPOCH) as well as development of cultural ICT applications (e.g. CULTOS, VICODI, QVIZ).

SRFG leads the ARIADNE work package Innovation and Community Building with focus on stakeholder needs, innovation agenda and strategies, and impact evaluation. Furthermore SRFG will contribute to the development of ARIADNE’s Linked Data based semantic services.
