The event on Research Infrastructures on Cultural Heritage, co-organized in Rome by ARIADNE and the Italian Ministry of Culture (MIBAC) in the framework of the Italian EU Presidency semester, on 13 and 14 November was an incredible success. There were more than 300 registered participants and many interesting contributions.
The speakers included Zoran Stancic, deputy director-general of the Directorate General “Connect” of the European Commission; Wim Jansen and Maria Theofilatou, officers at DG Connect and DG Research, the latter Project Officer for ARIADNE; Giampaolo D’Andrea, chief of staff of the Italian Minister of Culture, and Antonia Recchia, secretary general of MIBACT; and the coordinators of all the EU projects on infrastructures and e-infrastructures for cultural heritage, including the directors of DARIAH and CLARIN, the two ERICs in the domain, and the director of Europeana. Besides Franco Niccolucci, the coordinator, there were 10 presenters from ARIADNE.
The ARIADNE presentations on the afternoon of 14th November gave an overall picture of the results our project has achieved so far. These results are also collected in a booklet, printed for the occasion, and which will soon available as PDF on the project web site.
